80% of the world’s evangelical Christians live in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Over the last 50 years, God’s church has grown exponentially in these areas.

These regions have tremendous mission sending potential to help bring the gospel to unreached peoples, but they currently send only 20% of the world’s cross-cultural missionaries!

Brazil: The Next Great Sending Country

Via has maintained relationships with Brazilian ministries and ministry partners for over a decade. Now, we have relaunched.
When most people think of Brazil, they picture carnival, soccer, and beautiful beaches. But Brazil is home to one the world&rsquo;s largest evangelical populations. With more than 50 million evangelicals, the Brazilian church is absolutely massive. And ripe for a mission sending movement. If just 0.1%, or 1 in 1,000 Brazilian evangelicals, were to be mobilized to go to the unreached, the Lord&rsquo;s harvest would see 50,000 new missionaries raised up!&nbsp;
This would be one of the largest mission movements in the history of the New Testament church. Brazilians are primed now more than ever for mobilization! 12 years ago, we helped launch the Perspectivas Movement. Today, more than 20,000 Brazilians have participated in this life-changing World Christian discipleship course. Our team recently helped Perspectivas launch several new ministry initiatives designed to mobilize families, serve pastors and local churches, and equip potential missionaries.
The number of Brazilian missionaries has more than tripled in the last 15 years. And today, there are more Brazilians than ever who are ready to go to the mission field. But there are still many bottlenecks. Via resources were created to help alleviate these obstacles. We have translated most of our core resources into Portuguese, such as our family mobilization materials and the support raising Bootcamp. Thousands are using these tools to raise up the next generation of Brazilian missionaries. Join us as we ask God to send 50,000 Brazilians into His harvest field!

Project Details&nbsp;

$7,500 Brazil Area Team Fund: For general ministry, travel, &amp; church partnership. This includes hosting events, training national mobilizers, serving local churches, and traveling to strategic areas.&nbsp;
$5,000 Support Raising Initiatives: Support raising is the biggest barrier to sending Brazilians to the mission field. Our initiatives such as the Support Raising Bootcamp and Coaching Program equip missionaries with biblical and effective ways to raise full support for their ministry. Via Brasil is building a nationwide network of trainers and coaches to maximize the availability of this critical training.
$10,000 Via Resource Translation &amp; Printing: Help us multiply leaders and exponentially extend our reach through our powerful yet simple and easy-to-use resources. We aim to have the full catalog of Via resources available for churches &amp; ministries throughout Brasil.
$1,500 Recruiting &amp; Growth: The Brazilian church is massive, over 50 million evangelicals. Our team envisions planting teams in strategic cities throughout Brasil. Cities like Rio de Janeiro, S&atilde;o Paulo, Belo Horizonte, etc. To do this, we need to recruit and grow Via Brasil national staff throughout the country.
$4,000 Lusophone Mobilization: While our team will be based in Brazil, we will also support the mobilization efforts throughout the Portuguese speaking world including in Portugal, Angola, &amp; Mozambique. Combined with Brasil, these nations represent more than 60 million evangelicals ripe for mobilization!
$10,000 Annual Pastors Conference:&nbsp;Each year, in partnership with Pastor Dale Burke, our team will host How to Lead and Still Have a Life. This event aims to empower great leadership as modeled by Jesus Christ. Our goal is to equip pastors with a lifelong, visionary approach to leadership while also helping them establish boundaries that safeguard their personal and family life.
$3,000 Team Care and Development: Care for staff, strategic planning retreat, personal/ professional development.

Budget Details

&nbsp;The total budget for the Via Brazil team is $41,000 with the goal of raising up 50,000 Brazilian missionaries across the world. This budget includes the price: Brazil Area Team Fund, Support Raising Initiatives, Via Resource Translation &amp; Printing, Team Care and Development, Team Care and Development, Recruiting and Growth, Lusophone Mobilization, and an Annual Pastors Conference.

Since 2001, Via has been engaged in the pioneering concept of frontier mission mobilization. We send teams to areas around the world with the highest evangelical populations who have strategic access to the unreached. From these locations, our mobilizers empower believers to reach the unreached. Brazil is one of these strategic locations.
